By joining this Samaritans through Assembly Care you will be helping commended workers: because with every 20 applications that join, Assembly Care will select one pre-existing condition of one commended worker for sharing under this plan! (2) If you have coverage under insurance for a serious medical condition, and you drop that coverage for Samaritans, Samaritans will only pay for that condition if you are selected by ACM or if you go a year without symptoms. On the other hand, a future insurance company may consider the condition pre-existing if you join their individual policy after Samaritans. -IF- that pre-existing condition was Cancer, Diabetes or a Heart condition (not including high blood pressure) then you have to be the worker selected by Assembly Care to have your pre-existing condition forgiven, otherwise it will not be shared in even if you go a year without symptoms. (3) All payment arrangements are made between the member and doctors. Doctors do not bill Samaritans. Members tell doctors they are "self-pay" and then give the original bill to Samaritan Ministries. The need is published in the newsletter within 30-60 days.
