Assembly Care exists to provide Christians in assembly fellowships with tools which will help them keep them in touch with and informed about the practical needs of commended workers, assemblies, and assembly ministries. The goal is to get believers to become more aware of commended workers laboring within N. America, their practical needs, and the responsibilities we have to "fellowship" in the gospel by meeting those needs.Theme Verse: 2Co 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;Assembly Care in a Nutshell
What is availalbe for commended workers? CLICK HEREWho is connected with Assembly Care?Assembly Care is operated and maintained by Jesse Gentile (Tampa, FL in fellowship at Carrollwood Bible Chapel) out of a small office. Believers from many assemblies across the US and around the world use the tools on the ACM website. Twice a year the ACM board meets to discuss its needs, direction, and progress. Board memebers represent a spectrum of assemblies and regions of the country.
What Assemblies Does ACM Represent?ACM does not officially connect itself with one group of assemblies or another. ACM tends to recieve calls from elders and workers from open assemblies and some gospel halls in the U.S. The men on the ACM board are aware of the variety that exists within the assembly movement. Rather than side or affiliate with a constricted group, our goal is to exhort/help individual believers from as many assemblies as possible to support the workers commended from those assemblies respectively. How is Assembly Care funded? If the Lord has put it on your heart to fellowship with Assembly Care or to inquire about our expenses then do as God has moved you. The Lord will fund this effort through individuals and organizations as long as He sees fit. The Lord has graciously funded ACM through a gift from an indpenedent private foundation to this point. We thank Him for this. More importantly, ACM exists to follow the pattern of the apostle Paul in exhorting assembly believers about their responsibility to give to known needs among the body - particularly those of commended workers. One of those needs is the ability to pay for basic health care in a day when what was once easy to obtain is now difficult to obtain without insurance. ACM fully intends to remind believers of such needs of commended workers and missionaries rather than its own needs. Paul the apostle went to great lengths to inform various assemblies of the needs of other believers, and to ensure a safe transportation of their fellowship gifts into the hands of those needy Christians. ACM will not take any percentage (in the form of "administrative costs") out of gifts given to commended workers. For ACM to able able to use (a) credit cards, and (b) to do so online - companies like VISA and our merchant bank account manditorily take a combined total of just under 3% of any charges made via credit card. Any group, book store, or vendor wishin to use credit cards must pay these fees. ACM has no say in these charges. Despite this, we feel that since credit cards are so widely used today for every other financial transaction, believers would be willing to put up with a small percentage in order to be able to use a credit card in making fellowship with the Lord's work as convenient as many of the other financial transactions we are used to today. Does ACM sell health care insurance? No. Assembly Care does not sell insurance. ACM is not beholden to any group or company. At this present date, when a worker or elder calls, ACM will share as many solutions as possible with them, and then leave the decision with that individual. Is There a Group Health Insurance for commended workers? This is slowly in the works. It is not a top prority. The reason is becuase it may be wiser to simply help commended workers afford an individual health plan than it would be to assume the "risk" of healthcare expenses unecessarily.
